Just picked up Gardens of the Moon (The Malazan Book of the Fallen, Book 1). I am almost twenty years late to the party, but as I casting about looking for something to scratch the itch for another Kingkiller Chronicles book, I found something every inch as good. Not a book to be read quickly, and a rare read for me that the plot didn’t wow me, or not. I was in it for the prose, extremely interesting characters, and the world itself. Would recommend!
